Je me trouvais à environ 72 km en mer, sur l’Atlantique. La météo était calme et je voulais passer la journée à pêcher. Vers 15 heures le reflet d’un cylindre métallique a capté mon regard. Le cylindre flottait à 300 mètres de la surface et le dernier point où il la survolait était à 450 mètres de mon bateau. Pendant la rencontre qui ne dura que 45 secondes, l’objet perturba ma boussole et mon GPS. l’écran de mon GPS indiquait : » ne peut pas localiser le signal ». Les petits poissons étaient excités et nageaient en surface. L’engin n’émettait pas de lumière mais une pulsation sonore, électrique en provenait. L’appareil avait deux sections qui tournaient l’une autour de l’autre. Je suis parti pour voir si j’avais l’appareil photo en bas, et quand je suis revenu, l’engin s’était envolé. Les poissons s’étaient calmés, la boussole retrouva ses repères et le GPS a capté le signal.

I was out about 45 miles to sea in the Atlantic. Weather was calm and I was looking foward to a day of fishing. At about 3:00 pm, a reflection off a metallic cylinder caught my eye. The cylinder was hovering about 1000 feet over the surface and the direct spot that it was hovering over was about 1500 feet away from my boat. During the encounter, which lasted only about 45 seconds, the object disturbed my compass and my GPS. The screen on my GPS said » can not locate signal ». Small bait fish became excited and swam to the surface. The craft emitted no light but a pulsing, electrical sound came from the craft. The craft had two sections that counter rotated around each other. I left to go see if I had a camera down below, and when I returned, the craft had flown away. The fish subsided, the compass returned to its bearings, and my GPS picked up the signal. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.
